Archer High School – American Indian Studies

This semester course provides a comprehensive, chronological survey of the history of American Indians in the United States. Students examine topics beginning with Pre-Columbian experiences and continuing through to contemporary issues these Nations face, including experiences with European colonization, disease and its impact, foodways, cultures, activism, and contributions to American life. This course is paired with African American Studies.
