Apollo Elementary – Hiking Fitness - PED229

Hiking Fitness leverages local trails and urban routes to improve cardiovascular fitness, endurance, and strength. Students will participate in weekly hikes, cardiovascular activities, and strength training exercises designed to promote lifelong physical fitness and wellness. Additional activities such as yoga, plyometrics, and cross-training provide variety and enhance overall fitness.
Prerequisites: Basic level of physical fitness with the ability to walk uphill at a brisk pace.
