Meets the UC/CSU "G" Requirement for Electives. This course is a college preparatory program for students who are college bound. While concurrently enrolled in a college-prep course of study, students learn strategies to enhance success. The AVID course emphasizes training in WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading). Tutors will provide academic assistance using specific inquiry-based strategies. AVID 9 students investigate strategies for success in high school, and begin to discover college requirements. Curriculum includes preparation for college entrance exams.
