One-year course. Open to grade 11. Prerequisite: C or better in AVID 10, or application and interview process. Meets the UC/CSU "G" Requirement for Electives. This course is a continuation of the college preparatory program for students who are college bound. While concurrently enrolled in a college-prep course of study, students learn strategies to enhance success. Students enrolled in AVID 11 are encouraged to enroll in at least one Advanced Placement course of their choice. The AVID course emphasizes training in WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading). Tutors will provide academic assistance using specific inquiry-based strategies.
