Amador Valley High – AP Studio Art Drawing (Hp)

One-year course. Open to grades 11, 12. Prerequisite: Completion of Art 1 or 2. AP courses are college-level and may rely on nowledge obtained in recommended prior course(s). Meets the UC/CSU "F" Requirement for Visual and Performing Arts. Students will continue their exploration of artistic perception, art production, art history and valuing art under the parameters of the requirements for the Advanced Placement Studio Art portfolio. The student submits this portfolio for adjudication during the time of the AP testing schedule in May. The student’s goal in taking this course is to experience a college level art program and to develop a portfolio of sufficient quality to earn credits toward university matriculation. A lab donation is requested for materials and equipment.
