Allendale Elementary School – Advanced Guitar

Advanced Guitar is offered in $9 ^ { \\mathrm { t h } } - 1 2 ^ { \\mathrm { t h } }$ Grade. Students will further their technical development on the guitar in an ensemble setting. Techniques addressed include but are not limited to $9 ^ { \\mathrm { t h } }$ and $1 1 ^ { \\mathrm { t h } }$ chord structure, jazz guitar technique, advanced notation techniques, minor scale forms, and advanced solo techniques. Specific course names vary from school to school based on student enrollment. Examples include, but are not limited to: Guitar Ensemble, Advanced Guitar, Advanced Guitar Ensemble. Students may audition into this course and may take this course for multiple years.
