This course provides a project-based learning approach to understanding the fundamental principles and concepts of physics and associated mathematics. Emphasis is placed on understanding mechanical, electrical, fl uid, and thermal systems as they relate to workforce, rate, resistance, energy, and power. Art, English language arts, mathematics and science are reinforced. This honors course extends the standard course to a higher, more challenging level. Work-based learning strategies appropriate for this course include mentorship, school-based enterprise, service learning, and job shadowing. Cooperative education is not available for this course. Apprenticeship is not available for this course. Technology Student Association (TSA) competitive events, community service, and leadership activities provide the opportunity to apply essential standards and workplace readiness skills through authentic experiences.
