I'm a recent graduate of the California Institute of Technology in Economics and Computer Science. I was also accepted at Harvard, Princeton, MIT, and Stanford. I have a broad range of interests spanning science, math, engineering, social science, the humanities, the arts, and athletics (I also played on the Caltech basketball team). My background allows me to tutor general college prep, especially the SAT, ACT and the GRE. I love to teach analytical thinking, ranging from advanced Math and Physics to strategies for understanding literature and developing arguments.

I'm now living in New York City pursuing a career in casting and producing theater. Although I have found my passion in the arts, I find great fulfillment tutoring math and science, because I think it's important for students to know they can succeed in these challenging subjects. I seek to develop an individual learning plan for each student, discovering the tools that will best help them succeed. I am currently a student at Brown University seeking a degree in molecular biophysics. I love studying physics and its many applications in the realms of the life sciences. I have a strange penchant for ultimate frisbee and anything that involves golf (mini golf, frisbee golf, actual golf, etc.). I am a Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology graduate and currently attend Vanderbilt University majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in Business. I've tutored in various subjects for about 6 years now. I've done it so much, one of the companies I started was tutoring-based. I am qualified to teach math subjects up to Trigonometry, SHSAT, SAT, and Economics. I would have to say that teaching SAT prep is my favorite course in that it tends to be the most stressful and intimidating subject for high schoolers. Seeing students overcome such boundaries is what make tutoring worthwhile for me. I believe that learning should be both challenging and rewarding, not scary and pointless. Having a tutor can take the fear away from learning a new topic and help the student better understand both the new topic and himself or herself. Currently, I am a premed student at Cornell University, working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Economics.

I am a graduate of Brigham Young University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with an emphasis in Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic. As part of my coursework, I studied Arabic for three years and spent a semester in Amman, Jordan. After graduating, I worked on a U.S. Senate campaign, then interned at a think tank and congressional office in Washington, DC. While at the think tank, I co-authored an article that was published in US News and World Report. I am currently pursuing my juris doctorate (JD) at the University of Georgia School of Law.
