I have undergraduate degrees in Biology (minor Chemistry) and Philosophy from Brandeis University and a Masters in Education Policy and Leadership from Marquette University. To say that I love learning is an understatement! I have been a high school science teacher for the past two years in urban Milwaukee, WI - making Chemistry fun and relatable is one of my specialties. In an anonymous survey multiple students pointed to my enthusiasm for science, my caring determination, and ability to figure out the source of confusions as my biggest strengths in teaching. My enthusiasm for science comes from a knowledge that we need more scientists in our world, and you, with some support, could be a scientist. Right now I tutor science and math at the high school level. My tutoring skills have been developed in my science classroom, and my apartment building. I started tutoring some neighbors for their nursing exams (mostly math) and a middle school student. So, regardless of your age, I know that my approach to building from what you already know through questions can be successful for you. In my spare time, I garden, run, play board games with friends, and volunteer for causes related to housing equity. Excited to meet you soon!
