About Me

Hi! I am a senior majoring in Biology (B.S.) at the University of Texas at Dallas, and I will be attending medical school this fall. As an undergrad, my experience in tutoring involves:Being a teaching assistant for Introduction to Modern Biology I.Working part-time at Ivy Stencil Tutoring Services. Tutoring students on my own by following UT's Credit By Exam curriculum. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most experienced in tutoring Algebra, AP Calculus AB/BC, and Biology. In addition, I emphasize strategies that help students retain content longer, especially for standardized testing (AP exams and the SAT/ACT). Outside of tutoring, my interests revolve around being involved in my community. For example, I have directed the Children's Wellness Foundation, a registered nonprofit dedicated to helping the families of children in the hospital with finances. I have also been involved in research surrounding addiction, learning and memory, and breast cancer, inspiring me to earn my EMT certification! Now, through Varsity Tutors, I am most looking forward to helping students by learning about their problem-solving process and adding on where I can.
