I discovered that I am for tutoring immediately after I graduated from university; my friends who had not yet graduated asked me to tutor them! That experience gave me the passion for teaching and the teaching process.I hold a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, an MBA, and I'm currently weighting my choices for my PhD.I have been teaching as a tutor and as a college instructor for the past 7 years, not counting the years I worked as a tutor after graduation, I consider myself successful in teaching math courses and Accounting. I believe that every student should ask "why" a lot, as this is my teaching philosophy. I believe that if we knew why are we going in certain steps, or following a certain rule, that will make us absorp and understand in a better manner.Outside of teaching, I am a huge soccer fan, Manchester United in specific, i play soccer as well, enjoy swimming, and i'm a big "video games" geek; I actually have my own blog :)I believe that over the years I made a strong bond between my students and I, and that is because I taught them something, I taught them to ask why.

I enjoy learning and I've been a tutor for a long time at different types of tutoring venues over the years. I have bachelors degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry and a PhD in chemical engineering. I am a life-long learner. For the purposes of tutoring, my main proficiency is in chemistry, physics, math, Spanish, ACT/SAT prep, and some English. I think that tutoring is not about teaching but about learning. The student needs to be gain interest via examples, questions, and humor in order to become proficient. A combination of written, visual, and visual aids the learning; advancement occurs over several stages, but should end with the student being able to work on problems as independently as possible.

I am a current University of Illinois at Chicago undergraduate student. I am currently study biochemistry to pursue medical school. It has been a long hope and dream of mine to become a practicing doctor. I have worked through many obstacles to reach my academic goals. In high school I was the graduations class salutatorian and obtained numerous awards. I gained tutoring experience while in high school after participating as a Hawk tutor and Hope leader. A hawk tutor took time out of their lunch periods to tutor their fellow peers in wide range of subjects.

I am a Software Engineer, Educator and Art Enthusiast.I am certified AWS Developer and Google Educator.I have 5+ years of working in education, teaching robotics, coding, 3d design, game development and creating hands-on programming tutorials.Love to teach and learn new things. In 2014, I earned my Type 9 teaching certificate from Northeastern Illinois University and am now a 6th grade teacher. Prior to teaching, I have worked as a zookeeper, dog trainer and as a lab technician. As a teacher and a tutor, I am passionate about helping students improve their understanding of science, math and writing. I enjoy reading, swimming, politics and music.

I am a college grad from National Louis University with a bachelor's in Applied Educational Studies with a minor in science and concentration in education. I am pursuing my certification for Early Childhood and Elementary Education in a post-baccalaureate program at National Louis University, which I will complete in December 2021.Since graduation, I have worked in an elementary school in the Gold Coast of Chicago helping in all areas of elementary education. I mostly assisted kindergartners and fourth graders in Spanish workloads. My strengths are math and science mostly, however, I work with young children from kindergarteners through fourth grade in all subjects. In high school I had assistant high school students with homework during their study hall period as a requirement for my Education enrichment course.I am very passionate when it comes to helping out children with learning disabilities. As I want to make a change in that community to help them be able to pursue their dream careers without any obstacles.In my spare time, I like to go for runs and join little marathons. I also like to paint and read many books as I believe we never stop learning in life.

I tutor English as a second language and reading/writing at the elementary and middle school levels. My style is reaching someone where they are and adding onto it. I focus on finding and using strengths as a foundation to further learning.Outside of academia, I enjoy dancing. I've practiced ballet for 17 years and dabbled in other forms, like modern and hip-hop more recently. Dancing has always been an outlet for me. I love using my body to express myself just as much as I love using my words.
