That "click" moment when a student "gets" the material and realizes "I DO understand and CAN successfully advanced" - that's why I love teaching and tutoring. I WANT students to reach their goals. I thoroughly agree with Socrates' famous maxim, "Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel."My desire is to challenge, motivate, encourage and help each student to accomplish the task set for them. I want to tap into the knowledge the student already has, to help develop, strengthen, build upon, and apply that knowledge. I want to help the student leverage that knowledge in order to learn now, prepare for further learning, and have firm mastery of a tool which will be a meaningful and useful addition to their toolbox, necessary for life beyond the classroom walls.Some of my particular teaching passions are languages and literature. As one who has lived 40+ years in Latin America, and am in a bi-lingual extended family, I speak near-native level Spanish and can tutor it at any level. I also tutor French, as well as English as a Second Language, and English grammar and literature.My many hobbies include camping, hiking, gardening, reading, crafting, and travel.

I am a CPA with an accounting degree from Oklahoma State University, and the parent of two teens! I discovered my love for tutoring while helping my boys and their friends with math classes. It made me feel great to help them succeed! I am very good with ADHD students as well. I tutor for the whole ACT test (my seventh grader won an award for his score after practicing with me) and I also tutor Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and Algebra II. My theory on tutoring is that once a student begins to master a skill, that sense of pride and accomplishment carries over to the next skill and has a "snowball effect" of positive momentum!

I am a professor with over fifteen years of teaching/tutoring experience in College Composition, Technical Communication, and Film/Media Studies. I love working with students one-on-one and accommodating individual learning styles! I am here to foster budding authors through the major phases of the writing process: planning, drafting, revising, editing, and submitting/publishing!

I am a student on break from studying at the University of Oklahoma, majoring in History and minoring in English Writing. I have had a short story and a poem published, and I am currently writing children's books.

I am a current senior at Union High School who is also taking concurrent TCC classes. I have a real passion for helping kids to reach their full potential. I work with kids by using interactive games and memory quizzes to ensure they are getting the best tutoring I can give. I have worked with children with special needs all my life, as I have a cousin with severe autism and Down syndrome who I am extremely close with, and I have worked at VBS at my church with a little boy with Williams Syndrome for the past seven years. I am most comfortable working with elementary level students, but can definitely work with older ones as well. I am very familiar with high school subjects as I am currently in high school as well as taking college courses that I excel in. I love to sing, act, and watch Netflix! I love being active in my church, and I really believe that students should be taught at a level they are comfortable with, instead of being taught to a test. Kids should strive to learn as much as they can, and I intend to be seen as an older friend who can help them do so! I can't wait to start working with all your kiddos soon!*****Also, I am VERY available for work at the moment, as I only have one consistent client.

I have an associate's, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees, and I currently working on finishing my Doctorate degree. I look forward to working and seeing you grow.
