I am currently an adjunct professor of chemistry at a small liberal arts college in the Chicago area. Previously, I worked in the chemical industry for several years as a researcher, but I've found that the most satisfying moments have come when I am able to share my expertise with someone else. Similarly, I very much enjoyed the four semesters in the graduate school when I was a teaching assistant. It gave me the opportunity to work with students and help them develop an understanding for the subject. These are the primary reasons that I have decided to go into teaching.I have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Georgia Tech and dual BS degrees in chemical engineering and biochemistry from UW-Madison.

I hold a BA in philosophy, theatre, and history from one of the top schools in the Midwest. Before that I was a national level debater at one of the top best programs in the country. Nowadays I'm a circus performer as well as a teacher/coach all around the city.

I graduated with a degree in elementary education from the University of Maryland in 2015 where I became certified to teach K-6. Since my undergraduate experience, I have taught and tutored in English and Hebrew, working with individuals, small groups, and after school classes. I have worked with children from age 4 to high school seniors.I have tutored all elementary subjects, but math is my favorite subject to tutor in because I once hated everything about it until I found a way to excel in it.I am the most flexible tutor there is. I always assess where the student's strength is and use it to help them where they may need some improvement.Outside of academia, I enjoy going to the park with my children and 5 month old dog. I am currently a rising Junior at Northwestern University studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. In my studies I am focusing on Robotics and Control Systems (think developing robots like Boston Dynamics or designing algorithms that allow rockets to land on their own like SpaceX.) I also am a member of Northwestern's solar car racing team, NUSolar, and I am the academic chair for the Tau Delta chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. In my experiences as a student I have realized how important it is to have individuals that are able to help as you progress through school, especially when you are struggling. To this end I want to be a great academic resource for students and help them solidly the concepts which will help them succeed in their academic endeavors and beyond.

I am a Mom of five children and I have been an educator for over 25 years. I have a passion and excitement for teaching and learning. I'm a passionate Italian and French tutor.For my formal education, I started my French language studies (grammar and literature) in the 6th grade and continued on through my college years. I also studied Latin for five years to supplement my skills in both the Italian and French languages.I have a business economics degree from Bocconi University in Milan and spent a semester studying at the HEC Grand Ecole, Paris. Having lived in France, I understand the culture and nuances that are a very important part of learning a new language.For some, learning a new language can be a bit intimidating, so my lessons are designed to be fun and engaging. We will talk about your goals and objectives, assess your current skill level, and work at a pace that is challenging yet comfortable so that you can progress confidently. We can work hard on grammar and conversation, but we can also discover the French and Italian cultures through cuisine, songs, movies, poetry... you will love it! My students currently range in age from 9 to 70 years old with beginner to intermediate ability levels. I'm an easy going person who has huge interest in education, physical fitness, and outdoor adventures. I've been fortunate enough to take these interest and make a career out of teaching Social Studies, and Physical Education in schools.
