I am currently training to become an actuary, so my areas of expertise cover a wide array of topics. I believe in taking an open-minded approach for my tutoring, and based on my students' strengths and weaknesses I like to develop a unique tutoring style. This most often ranges from focusing on being able to explain concepts in words, to taking a more visual approach and looking at the big picture, to working through problems to figure out areas of difficulty. In my free time, I really enjoy playing alto saxophone and electric guitar, as well as working out at the gym and swimming laps in the pool. I have also been known to binge-watch TV shows and movie series on Netflix. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you as well as passing on my knowledge and skills as a student/teacher. I am currently a student at Boston College, majoring Biology and Hispanic Studies. From my experience of tutoring since high school, I realized how much I love teaching and getting to know my students. Teaching has always been a rewarding experience for me and I am grateful that I have the ability to provide not only knowledge, but also support and inspiration as a mentor and a friend; I believe that students and tutors alike can learn and continue to grow in a positive manner through such experience. Although I have tutored a wide range of subjects, my favorite subjects to tutor are Korean and Spanish, for learning a new language comes with multifaceted benefits.

I am a undergraduate freshman of the University of Michigan, studying business at the Ross School of Business. Working together with students and having a good time while seeing steady improvements has proven to provide me great joy. I believe that communication and relationship building is crucial for students to open up about their struggles and also for me to identify problems they don't realize they can improve on, so this is a key aspect of all of my lessons. During my free time, I enjoy playing sports or snacking on desserts while binge-watching Friends!

I'm James. I'm a junior at Brown University with a 4.0 GPA and numerous standardized test scores at the 99+ percentile. My test scores include a 35 on the ACT (36 in Math and 35 in English, Reading, and Science) and a 800 on SAT Math Level II. I am very experienced and prepared as a tutor. I've worked with students from numerous educational backgrounds and helped them reach their goal scores. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve success!

I am currently an undergraduate student at Cornell University studying Biological sciences. At school, I am involved in research regarding Veterinary Oncology to uncover more about treating lymphoma in dogs. I have also worked with MedLife, a medical brigade organization, to bring medical care and education to Lima, Peru. Outside of classes, I dance as a member of a Korean hip-hop dance group. Currently during the summer I am working as a clinic instructor for a learning center geared towards individuals with learning disabilities. I have a strong interest in working with children, and young adults, having tutored since middle school and spent a year as a teaching assistant for elementary reading and math. I am a recent graduate from Tufts University with a major in International Relations and a minor in Economics. I have been helping students since I was in middle school working with students of all ages from kindergarten to college. Prior to spending four years at Tufts, I attended a boarding school in Massachusetts where I was committed to tutoring middle school students at a local Boys and Girls' Club for all four years. I always enjoyed seeing the energy of younger students who were eager to learn and their visible improvements. I also worked as a teaching assistant for an SAT prep center where I tutored SAT verbal and writing along with SAT II literature and math. I moved to Las Vegas a few months ago after finishing up college, and I would love to get back to working with students on a regular basis because I understand the importance of education and enjoy helping and seeing results. My favorite subject to teach is SAT because with the right help it is a standardized test that can see huge improvements in scores. Writing section is especially my forte because I think that grammar is the basic building block of the English language that deserves a little more attention in school. I feel a great sense of fulfillment when students start to understand the different structures of English sentences and appreciate such knowledge. In my spare time, I like to stay active and go to yoga classes, including antigravity yoga, and drive to national parks for fresh air. I am also a big foodie who enjoys regular trips to different restaurants with friends and an avid movie fan. I look forward to meeting with students here in Las Vegas!
