I graduated from Penn State University in May 2015 where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Science: Biological Sciences and Health Professions, and a minor in Psychology. I will be applying to 1-year BSN programs this Fall to pursue a longtime goal of a career in the health field as a Nurse Practitioner. I have volunteered and worked in various departments of hospitals throughout New York including Montefiore Medical Center and St. John's Riverside Hospital, as well as shadowed physicians in their private practices. At Penn State, I was involved with research in Clinical Psychology as an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Martha Wadsworth in the Coping and Regulation of Environmental Stress (CARES) Lab, studying environmental stress in low income families and how children adapt to it. I started tutoring students in Biology as a high school senior and since then I have taken a lot of pride in helping students achieve their academic goals! Learning is exciting, and though it doesn't come naturally to some people, everyone should be able to experience the feeling of accomplishment that comes from learning and mastering something new. As a tutor, I hope to help my students achieve that!
