Hi! My name's Ari and I've been tutoring math and physics for over 10 years. I really enjoy working with students and helping them to understand a subject I find very interesting. I'm happy to help with material from elementary algebra through multi-variable calculus.

Graduated from Pittsburg State University, which is a small college in Southeast Kansas, with a degree in Environmental Chemistry and minors in math and physics. Currently I am working on obtaining a Master's in Physics from the same University. While attending college I have tutored students in a variety of subjects for the Math, Physics, and Chemistry departments. Also, I have taught General Chemistry labs and Physical Science labs, which I really enjoy teaching

I have had a wonderful, international life of work, study, and travel. I teach French, Spanish and English and tutor in SAT prep. Let's learn together!

I have a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College, where I studied both history and pre-dentistry. I will soon be pursuing a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, as well. In my free time, I enjoy figure skating, crocheting, and reading. In addition to tutoring, I also teach group figure skating lessons. I firmly believe in the value of education and have always approached academics with enthusiasm, especially math. I have always enjoyed working with numbers, and I have always had a great appreciation for math. As a tutor, I believe that everybody learns in different ways, and I enjoy helping students identify their strengths, while striving to tailor my tutoring to fit each student’s needs. The subjects I tutor include math, English, writing, reading, French, and some science and history.

A first-generation college graduate of Harvard College, Alicia found life in literature, tetherball, and the unconditional love of a single mother. She was also nourished by the commitment of several teachers and mentors. Inspired by these social justice educators, Alicia is invested in institutional equity, centering historically marginalized narratives in the classroom, and cultivating young readers in Denver during her residency year as a concurrent masters student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She joins her older brother Andy in the teaching profession.

I am a middle school French teacher in Parker but have taught either Language Arts or ESL for the past seven years. I have a lot of experience working with students of various backgrounds and have had a proven record of success with my classes. I have worked one on one before with students, helping both their grades and skills greatly improve.I'm looking forward to meeting and working with you!

I am a graduate of High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Music, with a focus on Bassoon. After graduating, I moved to Texas and started working in the school system. I received my alternative certification in Elementary Education as well as Special Education. I have worked with all ages of students, with a large portion of my experience being with those who are elementary aged. I have experience working with students of all abilities, with an extensive background with those in the Special Education field. My favorite subjects to tutor are any in the elementary age range, I find the students really do great with the positive reinforcements I provide them. Outside of academics, I have been a 911 dispatcher for the past 4 years. I still frequently play my bassoon, and enjoy reading and watching television.

I am quite passionate about education, since I feel it is the key to any sort of satisfying life. As the saying goes, knowledge is power, and knowledge can give you comfort and help guide you through a world that is often frustrating, convoluted, and dissatisfying. I have channeled this passion into teaching astronomy, which I majored in. I also taught some history and religion topics as head of a secular club in college.

I am a problem solver, and I love to help solve other's problems when they need it. I also love taking tests, and I hope that my excitement will translate to better scores for you!

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Literature/Creative Writing at the University of Denver. Prior to beginning my doctoral studies, I was a creative writing/English lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis where I completed my MFA and senior post-graduate teaching fellowship. I received my BA in Philosophy from Carleton College in 2009. Before my time in St. Louis and Denver, I taught English Literature at the Loomis Chaffee School in Connecticut and, earlier, at Germantown High School in Philadelphia. During my time at Loomis and Germantown, I taught English Lit I/III, Contemporary Literature, 10th grade grammar and expository writing seminars, Literature of the Sea, Experimental Novel, and Creative Writing. At Wash U, I taught Fiction Writing I, II, and Microfiction, and last year I facilitated pedagogy training for Wash U MFA graduate students. I currently tutor at DU's Writing Center and, beginning this fall, I will teach undergraduate fiction classes. I have a marked interest in modern and contemporary fiction, though I very much look forward to helping students with all craft/literature/essay writing/verbal test taking endeavors.
