About Me

I am an elementary school instructor who enjoys going to school every day and seeing the eager faces of my students. I entered the teaching profession to give back to the community that I have come to love, and to share my passion for learning with its young residents. I believe that every child is teachable-build a relationship with your student, and the two of you can achieve milestones. The gradual release model of teaching (I do/we do/you do) has served me well in working with elementary and middle school students. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from University of North Carolina (Film Studies/Creative Writing), and later became a Certified Educator in the state of Texas. I am certified to teach Core Subjects to grades EC-6; English/Language Arts and Social Studies to grades 4-8, and; Theater Arts to grades EC-12. As an experienced actress, my favorite subject to teach is English/Language Arts as I am an expressive person, and I enjoy writing. When I am not teaching, you will either find me viewing a new movie, taking a road trip, or baking special treats for my loved ones.
