About Me

Welcome! I look forward to connecting with you here at Varsity tutors and helping you to master your subject of interest/choice. I tutor Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics to both graduate and undergraduate students. I also enjoy teaching Elementary students as well. I teach JK-2nd graders Literacy, Science and Math. I am Scientist by profession. I work with cells and microorganisms all the time. It's no surprise that I love Science and consider Education as one of the biggest blessings in my life. I left my home country India in 2004 to pursue my Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, in the USA. I was homesick all the time and it was painful to leave family and friends behind. But Science got me through and in the pursuit of my Ph.D., I made new friends and the USA became my second home. I was introduced to teaching in my graduate school. And, it was an instant connection for me with teaching, tutoring and mentoring. I have taught undergrads, graduate students, medical residents, etc. throughout my career. Post pandemic, I started elementary school-based homeschooling. Teaching provided purpose to me, it also provided me a way to be connected to the foundations and principles of STEM subjects. I have sought opportunities to teach all throughout my career. It's gratifying to see students succeed and see the aha moment when they get challenging concepts during teaching sessions. It's like meditation, it energizes you to take on other challenging subjects both for teachers and students. We grow together! I am so happy you are here! I hope to be resourceful and provide timely help needed for you to get better hold on the subject post every session.
