About Me

I am a sophomore at Queens University of Charlotte where I am majoring in Elementary Education. In high school, I worked in a fully-functioning preschool for 3 years and during my senior year I student taught at a local elementary school in a 3rd grade classroom. Even though my primary interest is elementary, I am able to tutor middle and high school students because of my experiences with the curriculum. I took many AP classes as well. My favorite subjects to tutor are reading and writing because I have always had such a passion for them. I want students to get excited about reading to foster a lifelong love. When I am working with a student, my primary goal is to get him/her engaged in the learning process. I want my students to ask questions, think critically, and problem solve. Outside of academia I am very passionate about triathlon. I am on my school's team and I absolutely love competing with my teammates. Participating in sport has also benefited my academics because it has taught me the importance of collaboration and time management.
