About Me

I am a second year student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering alongside a Minor in Computer Science. I have previously tutored students in a broad range of math topics while working for Mathnasium, an in-person Math tutoring organization. I have also tutored students in the Math Section of the SAT and the Math 2 subject test while I was in high school. I specialize in Standardized testing preparation, and during my time in High School, I scored a perfect 800 in both the Math section of the SAT and the Math II Subject test. I have also competed in the AMC 10/12 for 4 years and qualified for the AIME once. I have also competed in both Mu Alpha Theta and Mathcounts at the state level. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, the 3 components of succeeding at a test are learning the material, practicing the exam, and understanding the tricks to beating the exam. I have experience teaching students all three components, and have learnt that although many students can teach themselves the first two components, the third component is what often pushes a student from being a good test-taker to an amazing one.
