About Me

I graduated in 2016 from Appalachian State University with a degree in Exercise Science. Since then, I have been living and working in Charlotte, NC. I have worked in healthcare, as a fitness instructor, and most recently, as a teacher assistant at Hickory Grove Elementary. I have worked the most with students in grades 1-5 in math, science, and reading. I had the incredible opportunity to grow up on the mission field in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Those years gave me the ability to become a fluent Spanish speaker, as well as the chance to connect with and learn about varying Caribbean cultures; more importantly, they opened my eyes to the extreme poverty and grueling conditions that most of the world lives in. I hope to dedicate my life and career to the underserved, and will work diligently to educate them about health, all subjects of learning, and life skills. I believe education is the first step towards personal and societal success. Currently, I am seeking to further my education by pursuing a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies. This will give me the chance to work in almost any area of the medical field. I plan to use those skills on the mission field as well and cannot wait to see where this journey takes me.
