Learning is about collaboration across different academic specialties. It is about finding relevance in the material that is specific to YOU that makes what you are learning important! I graduated from Western Washington University in 2013 with a combined Bachelors of Science in Biology and Anthropology, and I am attending the University of Washington starting Fall 2015 in the Biocultural Anthropology PhD program, specializing in Medical Anthropology and Global Health. I have a passion for both science and creativity, as I find that both thrive when each is present. Outside of school, I'm an avid social dancer and have been teaching, DJing, and dancing for 3.5 years. I bring humor, enthusiasm, and tons of encouragement to my students. Let's learn together!

I start from the ground up with my students, fortifying conceptual frameworks, and gradually edging the limits of the intellectual comfort zone until harder applications are no longer challenging. I collaborate as an equal, not as a superior, such that we work as a team to come to an answer, and more importantly, a deep understanding of the material at hand.
