About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Tampa (2014). I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Marine Science with a minor in Applied Dance. Since graduation, I studied tropical biology in Australia and began an internship at the Florida Aquarium on the Husbandry team. I love biology and ecology, especially when it comes to animals. I tutor a wide assortment of science subjects as well as math and test prep. When I'm not thinking about biology, I love practicing dance, working out, and baking. I believe in the multiple intelligence theory of learning, meaning that everyone learns differently and in order to better education we must teach in different ways. This could mean hands on activities, movements to help memorization, or incorporating a student's favorite activity into learning. I love seeing growth in others and believe that the work is worth it. I am from the suburbs of Chicago and always dreamed of being a marine scientist and a dancer. This meant working hard, being well organized, and moving away to pursue education. Currently, I am advancing in both fields and want others to know they can follow their dreams too. My personal motto is "omnia causa fiunt" which in Latin means "everything happens for a reason".
