About Me

I am a graduate of The University of Texas Austin with Bachelor of Science with degrees in both Biology and Biochemistry. Now, I am currently in the MD/PhD program at Johns Hopkins, where I plan to combine both my clinical and basic science interests particularly in cancer. Ever since I can remember, my favorite subjects to learn as well as teach were the Biological and Physical Sciences. Always inquisitive, I find that those topics are so logical and amazing because they can explain everything around us. During college, I was a teaching assistant for General Chemistry and also tutored Physiology. Having taught in classes with several hundred students, I have worked with diverse groups of individuals, each with their own unique ways of learning. I find it most effective to work with students to solidify basic concepts so that they will be better prepared for much more advanced topics. With a good foundation, they will also have fun realizing their potential and want to learn more. In my spare time, I play the piano and like to go on runs. While I am definitely a "foodie" and love exploring cities and their restaurants, I also enjoy cooking a nice meal with friends.
