About Me

My style of teaching is to engage a student in a way the fits for that student. I like to draw upon what a student already feels confident in and expand from there. I help students find the connections between subjects and then give them the tools necessary to find their own answers. I know I've done my job right when a student has the confidence to defend their answers and don't just look them up in the back of the book. In the past I have tutored students from elementary school all the way up to college. I've given instruction in three different Chemistry lab classes, and I have helped students raise their grade in both Math and English. I prefer students who want to learn and are ready to put in the time and work necessary to make the grade.
