Hi! My name is Caleb and I an 19 years old from Harrisonburg Virginia. I am an avid soccer player and skier outside of the classroom. As a student, I like to set my goals very high and tend to expect that from those around me. I was top of my class in High School and was accepted to a myriad of top tier/ivy league schools; however, I am currently enrolled in VCU's BS/MD Guaranteed Medical Program. I specialize in editing college essays (probably my strong suit), doing SAT prep, and basic math tutoring.

I recently graduated from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. While there I was fortunate enough to get research experience outside of the classroom as well as many opportunities to tutor and teach and the combination gave me a very well rounded approach to learning physics. I found that the research was exciting and I truly enjoyed the problem solving aspects of it but where I really thrived was when I was helping others learn about a subject I am so passionate about. I helped teach classes for public outreach, assisted with public events at our observatory, tutored and was a teaching assistant.Outside of my academic interests I teach horseback riding lessons and have done so for almost 20 years. While I have experience with all ages, I particularly enjoy teaching middle school and high school aged students. Through teaching riding lessons my students have taught me the importance of patience. Every student is an individual and learns at their own rate and in their own way.

I knew I wanted a career in education when I witnessed my first “ah-ha! moment” when I was 18 and studying early childhood development. Almost ten years later, I am still fascinated with the multitude of methods of learning, and love to be a part of the acquisition of new knowledge and skills. I currently hold a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from St. Louis University, an elementary certificate from Northeastern Illinois University, and an ESL endorsement certificate from the University of Illinois. I have classroom and tutoring experience working with children ages 5-12, and I love teaching everything from beginning sounds to algebra to how to write an amazing personal narrative. My belief as an educator is to focus on the individual interests and talents of the students and then tailor the lessons so that they are the most appropriate for the learner. In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, exploring new restaurants, and reading great books.

I am a current civil engineering student at City College focusing on environmental engineering. I am a hard working and patient tutor who works with students from elementary to high school. I tutor all english related subjects as well as algebra 1. I have previous experience working at Khan's Tutorial as well as Child Center of NY.

I am a graduate of Minnetonka High School and an incoming freshman at the University of Minnesota. I have done 2 years of classes at the University of Minnesota through the PSEO dual credit program. I tutor physics and math, at the high school and introductory college level. In my spare time, I like to yoyo, play chess, watch movies, and read.

I enjoy approaching teaching from different angles in order to assure that my students learn in the way that is best for them.I am also a ballroom dance instructor and enjoy going to the gym and distance running. I try to stay very active and love meeting all kinds of people.

I grew up in Berlin, in former East Germany. I hold a degree in physical therapy and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy.After moving to the United States in 1984, I began teaching German Language at a number of language schools in Washington D.C. My clients were children as well as professionals who were transferring to businesses, members of the US Military and the US Coast guard and of the US State Department. I also coached opera singers at the National Opera (former Washington Opera). As a college teacher of voice and at Loyola University New Orleans, I had the pleasure of teaching German to aspiring young opera singers and taught German Lieder (art song repertoire).My teaching style is varied and depends on the goals and the levels of each student. I am a stickler for grammar but I have lots of fun ways to practice it. Games and pictures are an integral part in my teaching method.I am very friendly, personable and laugh a lot. Learning a language is a wonderful thing and should be a happy pursuit!
