About Me

I am a graduate of Texas AM University at San Antonio. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on Education. Since graduation, I have been a teacher in the classroom for 7 years and have earned Educator of the year for 2022. I am passionate about building relationships with students to better serve them in becoming successful on their learning path. I am a firm proponent of the progression in education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. Currently, I teach 9th grade Advanced English at a Magnet School, but I have also taught many other classes like; College Prep, Communication, Journalism, and regular on-level English courses with English language learners as well as special education students. Additionally, I have led adult learning trainings for staff professional development. I am excited about the opportunities that are provided by Varsity Tutors to connect with students like you!
