With over 15 years of experience teaching middle school and high school math, I am a graduate of Howard University with a Master's Degree in Secondary Math Education. My tutoring approach revolves around creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students can thrive. I engage and motivate students through constant encouragement, incorporating creativity, interactive activities, real-life examples, and visual aids. By personalizing instruction to meet individual needs, assessing strengths and weaknesses, and tailoring teaching methods, I aim to guide students towards mastery and meet them at their current level of understanding. Fostering a growth mindset, building relationships, embracing challenges, and viewing mistakes as opportunities for growth are key principles I instill in students to develop confidence and independence.
