About Me

Earned my Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology at Central Michigan University in May of 2025. My dissertation project focused on the molecular evolution, optimization and design of a light-controlled genetic transcription circuit. I also worked on developing bioluminescence-based optogenetic tools for controlling activity and communication in neurons. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and will be starting a postdoctoral research position at the University of Michigan soon. Graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and a minor in Art History (GPA of 3.96). Conducted research in analytical chemistry under faculty supervision. Published article in exhibit catalogue for Art History Capstone experience. Worked as a supplemental instructor (a tutor-like position) for the university in General Chemistry II.
