About Me

I am an energetic teacher with a passion for languages and communication. I hold a B.A. in Foreign Language Education with a concentration in Spanish from the University of South Florida. I have taught Spanish to K-8 students and have taught English abroad to students of all ages. Additionally, I have worked as an online English teacher to students on the other side of the world. I have tutored countless students in both one-on-one and group settings. My favorite subjects to tutor are foreign languages, both English and Spanish. Though I enjoy giving support in other subjects, I truly love seeing the confidence a student gains when they begin learning a new language. Not only does it lead to broader and more successful communication, language learning enhances skills in all other applications. I find that students learn best when they are meaningfully engaged, therefore I like to use games and songs to help students practice new material. Outside of academia, my hobbies include reading fiction and almost any type of outdoor physical activity. As a former student athlete, I remain active in my everyday life. I have even worked as a coach for a middle school girls' volleyball team, where I had the opportunity to share my passion for play! I have chosen to work with young people as my career because I believe that knowledge is power and I love to be a part of bringing out a child's true potential.
