About Me

I am a graduate of The University of Arizona, having received my Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. I am currently pursuing my secondary teaching certificate with the goal of teaching high school math and science. Since high school I have been tutoring my classmates in math and science and while I enjoyed tutoring in these areas, I found that I was most passionate about teaching Calculus and General Chemistry. In helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, together we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. While tutoring, I try to not only teach students how to do the problems they are struggling with, but how to understand the underlying concepts and how they fit together with the rest of the curriculum. As a future teacher, I am a firm advocate of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy playing Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, camping, guitar, golf, and video games.
