In a nutshell: Energy comes in many forms and is needed for everything to work and move.

## What is Energy? Energy is what makes things happen. It helps us move, keeps us warm, and makes our lights shine! ## Different Forms of Energy - **Light energy:** From the sun or a lamp. - **Heat energy:** From fire, the sun, or even your body. - **Sound energy:** From music or someone talking. - **Motion energy:** When something moves, like a rolling ball. ## Where Does Energy Come From? - **The Sun:** Our biggest source of energy! It gives us light and heat. - **Food:** Gives our bodies energy to grow, think, and play. - **Electricity:** Powers our homes, schools, and devices. ## Hands-On Energy - Use a flashlight to see how light energy helps you see in the dark. - Jump up and down to feel how your body uses energy from food.
