I graduated from University of Colorado with a degree in History. I have taught high school Math and History as well as History in the middle school setting. I really love math because it shows how to think critically and solve problems. I love history because you think critically and you can make and defend arguments and compare the arguments from the past to the present. I will support the students by teaching them important study skills as well as how to successfully master subjects. Outside of academia, I love to rock climb, hike, camp, and generally anything that is outdoors. I have 3 kids and love to spend time with them.

I am a freshman at the University of Colorado Boulder majoring in astrophysics and chemistry with a 4.00 GPA. I have been passionate about science and STEM topics my whole life, focusing on them in both high school and college classes. In my free time, you can usually find me exploring forest preserves by day and surveying the skies with my telescope by night.

I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in English. During my studies there I tutored at-risk teens at a nearby high school, focusing not only on the academic aspect but on cultivating mutual respect with the students as well. The experience I gained from this position has shown me the underlying tenacity in young men and women to learn if the curriculum is tailored to their interests or presented with a novel perspective.Additionally, my ESL certification has granted me further opportunities to hone my teaching skills and techniques. I enjoy teaching a wide variety of subjects, but I gravitate towards English, Essay Writing, and Literature.After graduation I moved to Colorado to experience itsvivacious geography, culture, and city. When I am not working, I can often be found outside soaking up the Colorado sun with my dog Syd.

A first-generation college graduate of Harvard College, Alicia found life in literature, tetherball, and the unconditional love of a single mother. She was also nourished by the commitment of several teachers and mentors. Inspired by these social justice educators, Alicia is invested in institutional equity, centering historically marginalized narratives in the classroom, and cultivating young readers in Denver during her residency year as a concurrent masters student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She joins her older brother Andy in the teaching profession.

I earned my B.A. and M.A. in English from the University of Northern Colorado. I tutored at the high schools, my university, and at our community college.I taught English Literature and Composition courses at our community college in Colorado before moving to Albuquerque.I was born and raised in Colorado and love exploring the mountains around ABQ and Santa Fe. When I'm not outdoors, I'm usually reading, watching TV, or going to the movies. There's nothing like fresh buttered popcorn, right? My favorite film and novel genres include graphic novels, comedies, film noir, Shakespeare, mystery, and horror. I have learned there are so many great ways to explore language and know that having a command of the language will benefit any career path. Allow me to show you how.

In my free time, I enjoy figure skating, crocheting, and reading. In addition to tutoring, I also teach group figure skating lessons. I have always enjoyed working with numbers, and I have always had a great appreciation for math. When I began tutoring college students in 2000, this method of learning was not as commonly used as today, and so I had to develop my own teaching methods for tutoring in many different situations(one on one, group, online) I also have tutored students from all backgrounds and all skill levels, as well as students with disabilities, (ADHD,dyslexia), and young students in middle and high school.Aside from tutoring, I do occasional work in the electrical engineering field and as a hobby do the usual outdoor activities in Colorado.(hiking, skiing,biking). I enjoy seeing students excel in their learning experience and have tried to follow these Tutoring Goals:-Never refuse to help a student who asks for help.-Student's learning goals first, yours second.-Do not give wrong answers.
