Teaching is great responsibility and any good teacher will tell you that. I grew up around Boston and this is where I call home. I have been teaching for 11 years now and I have extensive tutoring experience. I received my Master's Degree in 2012 from American International College and I am MA State certified in Moderate Special Needs, English and History. I received my BA in Liberal Studies from Westfield State University in 1997 and my 2nd BA in Philosophy from D'Youville College in 2003. As a Special Needs Teacher I plan meaningful lessons based on students' goals, objectives, grade level benchmarks, and common core objectives. I try to cater to the different learning styles of my students. I am also Orton Gillingham trained and believe that every student can succeed with hard work and effort.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe in installing a life love of learning for each child. I want to help students enhance their natural curiosity and joy with the beauty of the human experience.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would meet with the student and assess what exactly the student needs help in. Then I would plan ways to ensure success in the near future.
