About Me

I am a graduate of Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi Texas. My field of expertise is bilingual education with a minor in ESL. I have been retired for the last couple of years but have been tutoring during that time and that has kept me updated with the latest strategies out there in the field of education. I have had over 30 years of experience in education. Most of my years were at the elementary level but was an assistant principal (in California) and I was a principal of an academic alternative high school in Texas. My favorite subjects to teach are general Math, Geometry and Pre-Algebra. However, I can teach Spanish (at the conversational level) and ESL. My experience as an immigrant from Mexico has taught me valuable 2nd language skills first hand. Spanish was my first language and learned English as a young 10 year old.
