About Me

I am a graduate of Queens University of Charlotte. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and then I obtained my K-6 Teaching License. Since graduation, I have been a full time teacher in 5th grade. My first year in 5th grade, I taught reading, writing, and social studies. The last couple of years, I've taught reading, writing, social studies, science, and a little bit of math. While I have taught a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about reading, comprehension, and writing. I also love working with students with disabilities and students who need an extra push. I am a firm believer that reading is fundamental and the basis for all things we do in life and try to make reading fun for my students. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, and reading.
