About Me

Hi! I am a graduate of Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. I received my Masters of Education in Exceptional Student Education with a focus on Educational Therapy. Since graduation, I have worked at a small, private Christian school as well as started my own company, Bright Minds Educational Therapy (www.brightmindstherapy.com). I specialize in working with kids with dyslexia, as well as other learning challenges. I am trained and use the Orton-Gillingham method to teach reading. My claim to fame is I can teach anyone to read! :) Reading is my passion as it is so important to success in any field. I find that once students are taught to read in a way that speaks to them, it "clicks" and they are able to see the world in a whole new light! I am a former elementary teacher, though I love working with all ages. I am certified to teach in Texas. All of my tutoring is done online.
