About Me

I'm really excited to be working with Varsity Tutoring. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. From TAing as an undergraduate, to coaching ultimate frisbee at the college level, to simply working with classmates to help them understand tough material, I appreciate working with other people to help them achieve their goals. I am working as a tutor part-time while I prepare to enter a masters degree program in Urban Planning at UCLA in the fall of 2016. I will be in the Baltimore area until early August, at which point I will move to Los Angeles. Tutoring struck me as an exciting and enriching way to support myself while getting to meet and work with some great people.

Q&A with Warren

I never want to teach a concept by simply explaining the problem start to finish. Especially when tutoring, students know the material but might have trouble applying what they know to the problem at hand. I like to ask slightly leading questions so that the student can come to the solution on her or her own.
