About Me

I am a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Yale University, and am currently enrolled at Georgetown University Law Center. After receiving my Bachelor of Arts from Holy Cross in History and Religious Studies, I headed south to Yale for my master’s degree in Religion and a certificate in Educational Leadership and Ministry. During both my undergraduate and graduate careers I have been fortunate enough to help students with SAT preparation, college application essay writing, and have experience teaching both History and Religion classes at a high school level. While I tutor a variety of subjects, I feel a particular affinity for History and helping students become the best writers they can be. Skills in these areas tend to translate particularly well to improvement on both the SAT Writing and Critical Reading areas, and were invaluable when I took the LSAT. I view my tutoring sessions as a partnership where the student and myself are working towards one goal: their acquisition of the skills, knowledge, and strategies necessary to succeed academically and enrich themselves personally. Frequently this means identifying weak foundational elements and building from there. Once these elements are identified, the learning process tends to be remarkably smooth and, dare I say, fun. In my spare time (I’m in law school so there really isn’t that much…) I enjoy spending time with my friends, going to movies/concerts, and, as I am still a relative newcomer, exploring DC. I look forward to working with you!
