About Me

I'm a Biology professor with over 20 years of experience in teaching and tutoring. My undergraduate degree is in Zoology, and my Ph.D. in Genetics. I've developed and taught college courses across the Biology curriculum. I also have extensive experience in standardized test preparation. My approach to tutoring is collaborative, personalized, and centered on your goals. I offer focused support as a deeply knowledgeable subject matter expert in a range of scientific disciplines. I can also help you prepare for standardized tests by reviewing content and helping you implement effective test taking strategies. You may also want to work on developing broader academic skills in addition to mastering the subject matter at hand. For example, we might focus on understanding a particular aspect of the circulatory system while at the same time developing skills that allow you to effectively extract meaningful information from a scientific text.
