Elimination Techniques

Smart Guessing

If you’re stuck, use elimination to improve your chances of picking the right answer.

Cross out answers that are obviously wrong.

  • Look for clues in the question that match only one or two choices.
  • If you’re down to two, make your best guess!

You don’t lose points for wrong answers, so never leave a question blank.

Examples

  • If two answer choices are way too big or too small, cross them out.

  • After eliminating three out of five answers, your chances of guessing correctly go way up!
