I am writing an argument to convince our principal to add ten more minutes of recess each day. Recess gives our brains a break, and studies show short breaks help students focus in class afterward. When I get home, I like to play my favorite video game for an hour. With a little more time, we could stretch, get fresh air, and return ready to learn. Teachers could use the extra minutes to set up materials between lessons. Therefore adding ten minutes of recess would help both students and teachers succeed. I think our school should try it for one month.
