Q1
To see how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly, follow these steps. First, a butterfly lays tiny eggs on a leaf. Next, the egg hatches into a hungry caterpillar that eats and grows. Then, after shedding its skin several times, the caterpillar hangs upside down and forms a chrysalis. Inside, its body changes in a process called metamorphosis. After about two weeks, the chrysalis darkens. Soon, it splits open. The new butterfly slowly pulls out, its wings crumpled and wet. After that, the butterfly pumps fluid into its wings and waits for them to dry. Finally, it flutters away to find flowers and, later, to lay eggs of its own. Each stage happens in order, and one step must finish before the next begins.
