Weather and Seasons

What Is Weather?

Weather is what the sky and air feel like at a certain time. It can be sunny, rainy, cloudy, windy, or snowy.

  • Sunny: The sun is shining brightly.
  • Rainy: Water falls from clouds.
  • Cloudy: The sky is covered by clouds.
  • Windy: The air moves and can blow things around.
  • Snowy: Frozen water falls from the sky.

The Four Seasons

Every year has four seasons: spring, summer, fall (autumn), and winter. Each season has different weather and changes in nature.

  • Spring: Flowers bloom, and it gets warmer.
  • Summer: Days are hot, and plants grow tall.
  • Fall: Leaves turn colors and fall off trees.
  • Winter: It's cold, and it may snow.

Why Weather and Seasons Matter

Knowing about weather helps us dress the right way and plan activities, like going swimming in summer or wearing coats in winter.

Examples

  • Wearing a raincoat when it’s raining.

  • Playing in the snow during winter.

In a Nutshell

Weather changes every day, and seasons change throughout the year.
