About Me

I earned my bachelor's in education from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I have masters' degrees in library science and school counseling. I also hold a principal certification. My main areas of certifications are English Language Arts, grades 6-12 and Reading 1-8. I hold certificates in GT, ESL, and Special Education as well. I am extremely passionate about improving literacy skills - reading, writing, thinking, listening, and speaking. I spent the majority of my years as a teacher in the 7-12 ELAR classroom in various roles. I also taught AVID and was a high school counselor. I am currently an instructional coach for teachers across a large region in North Texas. I prefer to tutor in any area and grade level of English Language Arts as well as Social Studies. I can help with ACT and SAT prep as well.
