About Me

I am very passionate about helping students. I believe we truly never get out of the stage of being students as there is always something to learn. I am big on community and assisting our future in anyway I can. By assisting students through tutoring, speaking life and encouragement into them, I feel I am doing my part. I have been working with students from all age groups and backgrounds for over 4 years. I received my BA in Psychology at UMSL and am currently working on my MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UMSL. Being a student myself, I know classes can be challenging and seem impossible to get to your goal. However, sometimes it just takes someone helping you to take a step back and access the situation while telling you that you can do this. I tutor reading and writing (specialize in elementary reading and writing and middle and high school writing).These are also my favorite subjects to tutor because as an artist, I do both in my leisure time. I believe in collaborative solutions for the student so that the student can get as much out of the session as possible. If I can provide and create a catchy tune, song, visual or video to assist in remembering things I will use it. Outside of academia I work as a Social Emotional Mentor for adolescence, I attend graduate school, sing, do poetry, cook, I host healing sessions, and spend time with my family.
