About Me

I am passionate about helping students because they represent me and are full of greatness. Working with students in supplemental classroom settings, mentoring after school, substitute teaching elementary, middle and high school has been wonderful, as the grades become better through deliberate designated study sessions. Online tutoring has also been fun through developing bonds with my students. I received my Bachelors of Arts from West Chester University in the School of Liberal Arts in West Chester, Pennsylvania and a Masters of Science from the School of Business at South University, Savannah, Georgia. I like tutoring English, Social Studies, Biology, Zoology, Science, Executive Functioning. I also can work with students on Creative Writing, Admissions and College Essays. Behaviorally Challenged Students, those with IEP's I can do great with as well. My favorite subject to teach is English/English Language Arts. The English language is awesome and can be expressed infinitely through many ways of expression. I like to teach students how to write using their five senses for creativity as they can boost their vocabulary and writing content by tapping into their intrinsic self. As an emotional kid growing up, words were colorful and the more I learned how vast the English Language was, the more effective I became as a communicator and an educator. My teaching philosophy is to "Teach Hope" which in turn breeds greatness. Enterprise and Entrepreneurship interests me outside of academia. Once a student learns enough to grasp a calling of vocation ...no matter the age, he or she must develop the proper framework to become autonomous and industrious so that they can contribute to society and create a legacy for themselves. There are student success stories that are 8, 11, 14, 17 etc. who are running their own companies and impacting communities because they knew that they were smart. My goal/aim as a Tutor is to get my students to this realization.
