About Me

I am a graduate of Wayzata High School, and am entering my junior year at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. At the U of M, I am enrolled in The Honors Program, and am working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. After graduation, I intend on attending graduate school to pursue a PhD in Materials Science. I tutor math and physics, and my favorite subjects to tutor are Calculus and Physics 1. Throughout my education, I have found myself serving as a resource for my peers by helping them to understand difficult concepts, supplementing the explanations given by teachers/professors, and providing assistance with difficult homework problems. My tutoring style is to focus on helping students intuitively understand the core concepts of a subject. I find that this gives a much deeper understanding of the material, as opposed to just memorizing formulas without understanding their meaning or where they come from. In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing, skiing, and reading.
