About Me

There's a common saying that goes "Those who can't do, teach" but I believe there is a fault in those words. It should say," those who know , educate". Since childhood I always knew that I wanted to be involved in teaching in some capacity which I why I chose to become a tutor. I have strong passion for the Sciences and believe that they can be fun subjects to learn about given the right methods. So that is what I do, I find a way to relate them to my student's interest so that they not only learn and understand but also gain some form of appreciation for the subjects I am help them with. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Xavier University of Louisiana where I majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors in Biology, Chemistry and English. While a student there, I served as a Biology tutor and also helped students in other subjects such as Chemistry and Physics. After graduating, I attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine with hopes of becoming a doctor but I ended up learning that that is not where my passion lies. Therefore, I am about to pursue a Masters in Biology and then go on to get a PhD so that I can do research and teach. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy various pastimes such as listening to music, traveling and engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking. I am a bit of a movie and music buff so I love to quote movies and song lyrics. I also believe in challenging myself to do new things that cause to me to face my fears. All in all, I love to live and enjoy life just as much as I love to teach/tutor.
