About Me

I am a Washington State Certified Secondary Teacher with Endorsements in Social Studies and English as a Second Language (ESL). Most recently I graduated from the University of Washington with a Masters in Teaching. Before that I graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in History. After finishing my graduate program I moved to Tokyo Japan and taught ESL, I not only enjoyed teaching English but also seeing and experiencing a different culture. I have experience teaching classrooms, worked as a mentor, and also a one-on-one ESL instructor. I can tutor English, ESL/ELL, Grammar and Mechanics, Reading, and Writing. While I do enjoy all of the subjects, I tutor I have a passion for ESL, it is very exciting to watch students build over time and be successful in their lives using what they've worked hard on in the classroom. I try to create a positive learning environment and connect to each student's different style of learning. I believe that connecting learning to student lives has great results. In my off time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and being outside.
